I don't know who Layla Stafford is, but if they had been to Kessas they would know it's a family run business with lovely all female staff. So if you read their post please disregard it. It's a fantastic place to eat with great tasty food and very pleasant ladies working there. Try it and see for yourself.

Me and my wife had an amazing lunch here today, we had the biryani and it was exceptional the service the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were super friendly, very polite and professional welcoming us on arrival. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for amazing Afghan food which will not disappoint you. Thank you to all of the amazing people that served us today and we look forward to coming back again.
1st day had Special Afgan style Lamb Shakshuka and chicken wrap. 2nd day had Afgan lamb biryani and falafel. Everything excellent especially the shashuka and biryani. Everything halal here and service was great. Good coffee and decent breakfast and lunch options.
The atmosphere is so warm and relaxed in Kessa Coffee House. I ordered the Afghan Shakshuka and it was absolutely incredible. Rich, perfectly spiced, and so comforting, you can just tell it’s made with real love and pride. Pair that with one of their flat whites (which was spot-on, by the way), and it’s basically the dream brunch.
